The replacement is obviously better than what exists, even and especially from an environmental perspective. The resistance is rooted in an ideology of opposing _everything_ that an energy company might do because of subjective "green" morality. Might as well be telling the teenagers that dancing is sinful. Get out of the way, and let people who know what they're talking about do what they have the skills to do. Then be grateful for the money it saves you.
