Although we don’t usually think about it, many of the books that we have enjoyed have at some point been banned, either in the U.S. or elsewhere. Banned Books week explores this. Founded in 1982 by the Banned Books Week Coalition was created in order to encourage people to read, and fight for their right to.
Join the staff at the East Lansing Public Library to find out more about why books have been banned in the past, why some still are now and the importance of reading.
