FRIDAY, Dec. 17 — Lansing cops are investigating a burglary at a north Lansing pot shop after authorities said someone busted out the front window at First Class Cannabis Co. at 2515 N. Grand River Ave. on Sunday morning and made off with an unspecified amount of marijuana.

A spokesman for the Lansing Police Department said that officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at the dispensary at about 5 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12. When they arrived, authorities said they found a window had been shattered, but they didn’t locate any suspects inside the building.

Officials at First Class Cannabis Co. confirmed that someone had broken into the store and took some merchandise, but they declined to specify exactly how much inventory was looted from the shelves — only noting that the incident had caused a “headache” for the staff this week.

An LPD spokesman described the suspect as a Black man with an average build between 18-25 years old. Security footage showed him wearing all black with gloves and a mask. Those with any information about the incident have been asked to call authorities at 517-483-4600.
