FRIDAY, Sept. 20 — Ele’s Place Capital Region, a healing center for grieving children and teens, is inviting former families, donors and community members to its 25th annual fall reception Thursday, Sept. 26.

Kim Hartman, donor and local artist, recently completed a donor wall mural, which will be unveiled at the event at 5:30 p.m. at the Oakland Avenue location. Other festivities include a silent auction, strolling dinner, bubble release and “mission moments” featuring quest speaker Andrew Cawood, who attended Ele’s Place with his family 15 years ago.

"This milestone is a major celebration for Ele's Place," said Director Kristine Kuhnert in a press release. "Every family who has visited Ele's Place has a story that echoes here. The 25th annual fall reception is an amazing way to share their stories of healing. The kids who find a safe place to manage grief, share memories, explore their feelings, learn coping skills and travel their journey in the company of peers."
