Never one to shy away from some good Thai Food, I gladly accepted when last week, some of my friends suggested we visit Thai Princess in Okemos. I hadn’t been to this location before, so I decided to keep my adventurous streak going with a taste of something new.
I scanned the menu and stumbled upon Chicken Laab ($10.99). I had heard of it before, but it had never found itself on my plate. A mere 15 minutes later, it was in front of me.
The minced meat salad was seasoned well, leaving a healthy kick of spice with each bite — not too spicy though. My portion also came with sizeable chunks of onions and parsley scattered throughout the mix, giving the whole plate a crunchier, highly refreshing feel. The garnish of a tomato and cucumber slice helped, too. If it leads to this much deliciousness, I think I’ll be stepping out of my culinary comfort zone more often.
