The Michigan Foodies Facebook group is hosting Michigan’s first-ever Olive Burger Festival noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Field. Attendees can sample burgers from local restaurants and food trucks and vote for their favorites. There will also be non-olive-burger food options, beer, wine, cocktails, live music, games and activities for all ages.

Finally, Michigan Pride is holding a rally at the Capitol noon to 2 p.m. Sunday to celebrate Michigan’s LGBTQ+ community. Jamie Ashby, Miss Trans Michigan, will emcee the event, and there will be other speakers and live music performances, including a DJ set by DJ Whitney Who, aka Whitney Spotts of Starfarm.

Whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best of weekends.
