Two more COVID-19 deaths reported in Greater Lansing

Regional death toll rises to 43 with more than 1,000 cases

SUNDAY, May 31 — Two more deaths and five cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Greater Lansing today, edging up the regional death toll to 43 with at least 1,067 cases reported to date.

Ingham County tracked two new cases and one death. Clinton County tallied its 11th death and holds steady at 139 cases to date. Three more cases were recorded in Eaton County with no additional deaths. More than half of local patients have recovered from the virus, records show.

Michigan tracked at least another 513 coronavirus cases statewide this afternoon with another 28 virus-related deaths, pushing the case count past 57,000 with nearly 5,500 reported dead. About two-thirds of those cases, or 38,099 patients, have tracked a full recovery from the virus.
