Three Stacks Music Festival canceled due to low ticket sales

TUESDAY, June 11 — “Due to a number of factors, we feel that we’re unable to deliver artists and fans an experience we’d be proud of, and for that reason, we have chosen not to move forward with the event,” an update on the Three Stacks website said.  

 The Fusion Shows event would’ve seen The Breeders, Betty Who, Talib Kweli and Touche Amore headline supported by a score of over 15 other acts.  

 “The bottom line is that ticket sales were very low, and it didn't make financial nor artistic sense to carry on with the event,” Nate Dorough, president and co-founder of Fusion Shows, said.  

 “We're bummed that this event didn't survive, but that happens in this business.  The City of Lansing and all the businesses in REO Town were wonderful to work with, and we're bummed we couldn't deliver an event for them,” he added.   

Online ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase and TicketWeb purchases will be automatically refunded within a week, Three Stacks’ website said.  

 Fusion Shows was able to consolidate a show featuring some of the Three Stacks performers to the Crofoot in Pontiac on June 22. The lineup will be Touche Amore, Microwave, P.O.S, The Sidekicks and Retirement Party.
