Sparrow Mobile Health Clinic taking patients Friday

THURSDAY, June 20 — A large Sparrow coach bus will be parked outside of Advent House Ministries Friday at 1:30 p.m. The public can line up for free, basic health services and screenings. It is advised that patients with Medicaid/Medicare or other insurance bring their membership card, but is not required.

The current project rotates between five sites across Ingham County: Allen Neighborhood Center, Edgewood Village, Capital Commons Senior Center, South Washington Park Apartments and Advent House.

The new clinic — housed in a motorhome — includes exam rooms, a waiting area and testing equipment. The bus is a result of a collaboration between Sparrow Hospital, the Ingham County Health Department and Dean Transportation.

    • Education
    • Physician referrals
    • Cancer prevention Screening
    • Behavioral health
    • Blood pressure
    • Body mass index
    • Cholesterol
    • Diabetes
