Meridian Township Farmers' Market reopens this Saturday

Posted

WEDNESDAY, Jan. 13 — Need plans for the weekend? Why not check out the Meridian Township Farmers’ Market’s renovated digs? The market is stepping in 2021 on Saturday by opening up its winter season outdoors at its new Marketplace on the Green Venue at 1995 Central Park Drive, Okemos.

Visitors to the market can expect the usual variety of fresh farm produce and artisan crafts. It’s a place known to conjure some warm spirits during the coldest months. Each market will feature approximately 15 to 20 vendors, including old favorites and newcomers. The market will continue to be open every third Saturday, from January until April. Its hours run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you plan on visiting the market, you’re strongly encouraged to follow its official Facebook page and the Township’s website for important updates, including pre-order specials. Mandatory COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place. You can contact market manager Tom Cary by calling (517) 712-2395, or by emailing farmersmarket@meridian.mi.us.
