WEDNESDAY, Dec. 4 — If you took a trip to the Meridian or Lansing Mall in search of gifts and came back empty-handed and deflated, don’t fret, there’s a smorgasbord of pop-up holiday markets awaiting you this weekend. Let this guide be your partner in finding the perfect humble homemade present: 

 Saturday, Dec. 7 - REO Town Annual Holiday Pop Up 

The artsiest block on Lansing’s south side will be bustling with local vendors specializing in art, body care, homemade treats and more. Each storefront will host maker’s booths as well as their own displays tailored to the holiday season.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - East Lansing’s Winter Glow  

East Lansing’s free, outdoor winter festival will feature ice carving, horse and carriage rides, a special outdoor holiday farmers market, a heated music tent, free family portrait with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - DAOM Heavy Metal Holiday Meltdown at The Avenue Café 

The Dark Arts of Michigan closes out a year of sheer horror with a dense line up of entertainment including Tater Tot Noxious, Prince Marsallis, Veronica Lockhart, Leena Allure, Eartha Kitten, Caffeyne Luv and Darryn Storm. Two floors of vendors and readings will be at Triple Goddess Bookstore all night long.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - Holiday Hullabaloo in Old Town 

Old Town businesses transform with Holiday goods and more for its annual Holiday Hullabaloo. Santa will be visiting as well.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - South Lansing Holiday Market 

South Lansing Community Development Association and the South Lansing Farmers Market collaborate for a holiday-themed market offering a wide variety of gifts for yourself and your loved ones.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - ARTSpace at the Fledge

Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8 - MSU Arts and Craft Show 

A longstanding tradition at Michigan State University, the winter Arts & Craft Show highlights more than 120 crafters and artisans. Items include candles, furniture, jewelry, toys and paintings.
