Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center seeking artists for holiday exhibition

WEDNESDAY, Aug. 7 — Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center is seeking artists for the Michigan Made | Holiday Exhibition which will feature artworks that range from fine art to small gifts including jewelry, paintings, pottery, metalwork, leather goods, paper products, glasswork, woodworking, and more. We are seeking contemporary fine art, inspired modern craft and items designed by Michigan makers!

The exhibition will be co-curated by Katrina M. Daniels, the exhibitions and gallery sales director, and artist Britta Urne
ss.

 Urness lives in Lansing, MI and she has been a faculty member and advising specialist at Michigan State University since 2008. She earned her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MFA in Painting with a minor in Printmaking from the University of Iowa. Britta's work has been exhibited locally and nationally. Britta's drawings have been featured in such publications as the 2012 book "Figure, Face & Identity" from Sprocketbox Publishing of Chicago, IL.
