Happy Thanksgiving! If you’re able to haul yourself off the couch after today’s feast and tomorrow’s Black Friday shopping spree, Greater Lansing will offer a handful of events to enjoy over the long weekend. Though the area won’t be as bustling as usual, those in town can look forward to seasonal happenings like a holiday market, a Christmas play and the annual Black Santa Experience as well as non-holiday activities like a blacksmithing workshop, karaoke, dance parties, a free yoga class and more.

For Friday evening’s live music, we have singer-songwriter Aaron Johnson at the Peanut Barrel at 8, blues/rock group Gina Garner & the All Night Long Band at the Green Door at 8:30 and cover musician Ben Awrey at East Lansing’s Dublin Square at 9.
