Today in Lansing: Ingham County Fair opens

MONDAY, July 29 — Corn dogs, elephant ears, fried Oreos (try fried anything) — there’s a certain Americana itch scratched only by the sweaty cavalcade of unhealthy snacks, petting zoos and carnival rides.  

For us in Greater Lansing, we can get our fix at the Ingham County Fair, which opens today (for the 165th year in a row).  Starting at 4 p.m., you can get the first taste of the weeklong celebration. For comprehensive pricing and hours, check out the Ingham County Fair’s website.
