The Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media is offering several exciting summer camps in July of 2009. Our popular media camps in digital cinema and video games are returning again this summer. New this summer, we are introducing camps in music recording, television production, and web design. In addition to our high school camps, we have digital cinema and video game camps for middle schoolers. All of the high school camps are for students ages 14 to 18. The middle school camps are for students entering 7th or 8th grade in Fall 2009. Each camp includes five full days of hands-on instruction by MSU personnel. All camps have a limited enrollment of 18 students and spots tend to fill up fast. The high school camps offer both an overnight/residential option in a dormitory on-campus and a day camp only option. The middle school camps are day-camps only. Each day runs 9am - 5pm plus evening activities for those staying overnight. Students may participate in any individual camp. High school students may signup for multiple camps as long as one is in week 1 and the other is in week 2 There are two options: The high school camps offer both an overnight/residential option in a dormitory on-campus and a day camp only option. The middle school camps are day-camps only. Overnight/Residential Option - Cost: $695 - This option is only available to High School students. - Includes day camp, room for 5 nights (Sunday - Thursday nights), 3 meals per day, night activities, Dorm/Activity Chaperone Day-Camp Only - Cost: $395 - Includes all instruction, instructional materials, computer facilities, all activities, and supervision. Lunch is provided for Friday only. Day campers must bring lunch Monday-Thursday. - Camp is Monday - Friday. Each camp day runs 9am - 5pm. Overnight stay and evening activities are not included.
