The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau brings you the 15th Annual Be A Tourist In Your Own Town celebration. Once again we open the doors for you to explore culture and creativity, right here in mid-Michigan. For only $1 you can purchase a "passport" which allows you admission to more than 60 area attractions, local businesses, and special activities. As Lansing celebrates its 150th anniversary, take this opportunity to enjoy attractions that highlight both Lansing's unique history as well as its innovative and progressive future. This year we have included old favorites such as Impression 5 Science Center, Potter Park Zoo and the Michigan Historical Museum, and added new hot spots like the FRAG Center, MSU's Breslin Center, WKAR Studios and taste the new Be A Tourist ice cream flavor at the MSU Dairy Store. CATA buses will operate special Be A Tourist routes on May 30th for just 50 cents. By the end of the day, if you were asked, "What is there to do in Greater Lansing?" You will be able to respond with countless suggestions and a sense of community pride. Passports go on sale the first week of May at the Meridian Mall, Impression 5 Science Center, AAA - Grand River location, Celebration Cinema, CATA Transportation Center - Downtown, Lansing Art Gallery, and the Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau in Old Town. Passports are also available the day of the event. For more info visit www.lansing.org or phone 517-487-6800
