Fiber Artist: Rowland Ricketts

Part of the annual Michigan State University Department of Art, Art History, and Design Guest Lecture Series artist Rowland Ricketts will discuss his work on April 2 at 7 p.m. in South Kedzie Hall, 107. A trained indigo farmer, contemporary fiber artist Rowland Ricketts creates work that draws from historical dyeing techniques, which utilize natural dyes composed of gathered and cultivated plants. Ricketts is currently a textiles faculty member at Indiana University.
