Thursday, Nov. 1 — This is the second installment in an ongoing series about an art piece called "The Gift: Lansing, Michigan," conceived by photographic artist Jochen Gerz, coinciding with next week's opening of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University.
Monday, Nov. 5 — Coming Wednesday: “Welcome to the Broad,” a 56-page special issue celebrating the opening of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum in East Lansing. “New Addition,” (above) by Kristin Cammermeyer was commissioned by the Broad and City Pulse. It will appear as the cover of Wednesday's special issue. Available at 480-plus locations and online at www.lansingcitypulse.com starting Wednesday.
Wednesday, Nov. 7 — Today was the final day to have your portrait taken for a photographic art installation project launched before the opening of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum. However, there will be two more opportunities to become part of the project, called “The Gift: Lansing, Michigan,” on Saturday and Sunday.
Tuesday, Nov. 20 — Anyone interested in participating in a community-wide photo project being launched as part of the opening of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum still have time to have their portraits taken for it.
Monday, Dec. 10 — Tune in to “City Pulse Newsmakers” this weekend for an appearance by Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero, who will address the topics of consolidating local units of government, the city’s budget outlook and statewide Right to Work legislation.
