Author and poet Melissa Dey Hasbrook shares stories about what makes Michigan home in “Stories About Turtle Island” at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Everybody Reads Books and Stuff, 2019 E. Michigan Ave., in Lansing. Dey Hasbook will be debuting her recent book, “Circle …Home.” Inspired by the land in which she grew up, Dey Hasbrook wanted to pay homage by dedicating her book to Michigan and her ancestors, she said. Advance copies of the book, which is officially released this fall, will be available at a discount price.
