Manzella, a 25-year-old REO Town resident, went to high school in Shelby Township and earned a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning from Michigan State University in 2008 and is working on his master’s in public policy at MSU. He is manager of regional programs for the Lansing Economic Area Partnership.

South Lansing’s Tri-Castle Cannabuzz is located on the west side of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard just north of Miller Road and, based on my personal experience, is easily overlooked. After several minutes touring this section of MLK, I was able to find this dispensary housed in a simple, unassuming single-story building.

The Council had plenty of time to fashion a reasonable ordinance since the imposition of a moratorium on new dispensaries last December. But with Friday’s expiration of the moratorium looming, the Council desperately pushed through an ordinance that will no doubt result in a welldeserved lawsuit against it.

I visited Your Healthy Choice Clinic on Michigan Avenue across from Clara’s Restaurant late on a recent Friday morning. Your Healthy Choice has been open since 2009 and was one of the first dispensaries in Lansing to offer physician certification services as well as Michigan Medical Marihuana Program consultation to patients and caregivers.

GreenLeaf is a dispensary I never thought I’d set foot in again. I must say, I was a little bit reluctant when driving out to conduct my review. The last time I was at this location it was the Green Leaf Smokers Club, which was run by Wayne Dagit, who was arrested for allegedly possessing more than 200 pounds of marijuana.
