Goodbye, Trillium Gallery

In Section: A&E blog Posted By: JamesSanford

The Trillium Gallery of East Lansing closed abruptly last month. The owner, Kalli Halpern, could not be reached for comment but posted a sign at the business saying the store is closed temporarily and she hopes to reopen again, “when the downtown is healthy and our Michigan economy is better.”

She added that she will continue to sell items at fairs but offered no specific details.

The Trillium Gallery was open for 13 years, the sign says. It featured jewelry, artwork and greeting cards from various local artists.

Trillium Gallery and Kalli's warm welcome and delightful service will be missed. I hope the gallery that supported Michigan artists will be back soon.
