The career of Lansing native John Hughes — the writer/director/producer responsible for "Sixteen Candles," "The Breakfast Club," "Home Alone," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and many other film favorites — will be the subject of a two-day tribute at the Film Society of Lincoln Center Sept. 19-20. The first day will include a quintet of screenings; the second day is devoted exclusively to "The Breakfast Club," with a screening of the film and a post-show Q&A session with Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson.
