"Good beer/cheap friends" — that's the slogan of The Tin Can, the new bar opening in downtown Lansing later this week.

According to the bar's Facebook page, you will find 30 different varieties of canned beers, as well as locally produced foods "all at really low prices." An early promo: The Tin Can "happy meal," featuring a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon, a shot of Jack Daniels and a chili dog, is offered for $6. (Don't tell McDonald's.)

The Tin Can is located at 414 East Michigan Ave., near Harem Urban Lounge. The official opening is set for this Friday, and hours will be 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Friday and 6 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday.
