City asks to keep parked cars off streets

With major plowing effort over next 48 hours, city of Lansing asks residents to keep parked cars off streets and clear sidewalks

by City Pulse Staff
Friday, Jan. 10 — With a major plowing effort to take place over the next 48 hours, the city of Lansing is asking residents to keep parked cars off neighborhood streets until its finished.

The move is to combat planned deteriorating road conditions due to melting snow followed by freezing temperatures. Rain is forecast over the next 24 hours followed by colder temperatures into next week.

The city will continue to enforce its ban on overnight parking between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.

The city is also reminding residents to clear their sidewalks of snow and ice as soon as possible as required by city ordinance.

Complaints about obstructed sidewalks can be reported to 483-4161.
