Monday, April 29 — Gov. Rick Snyder and Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero are scheduled to make a “major corporate investment” announcement at Jackson National Life Insurance Co. Tuesday morning, according to a media advisory issued today.
Snyder and Bernero will join Jackson President and CEO Mike Wells “as he makes an important announcement that will significantly impact both the Lansing community and the state of Michigan," Jackson National’s press release says.
Founded in 1961, Jackson, a subsidiary of Prudential Plc, is a national insurance company headquartered in Lansing. It employs more than 4,300 people nationwide, 2,100 of whom work in mid-Michigan.
