Where's 'Sherlock'? It's no 'Mystery'

WKAR hosts a sneak preview of the second season of 'Sherlock' May 3

by City Pulse Staff

Wednesday, April 11 — "Sherlock," the BBC series that adapts Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's tales to present-day London, has become a major hit on PBS's "Masterpiece Mystery." The second season begins next month, and WKAR-TV is staying a step ahead of the game by hosting a sneak preview of the next three episodes at 7 p.m. May 3. The event will be held at Michigan State University’s Communication Arts & Sciences Building.

The 35-minute screening of scenes from the Benedict Cumberbatch/Martin Freeman series will be followed by a discussion and Q&A session with pop culture expert Gary Hoppenstand about the enduring appeal of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Guests can also snack on “mysterious treats” and register to win a Holmes-related prize from Schuler Books & Music and Chapbook Caf'. The new season of "Sherlock" — which includes "Scandal in Belgravia," "The Hounds of Baskerville" and "The Reichenbach Fall" — begins airing on WKAR on May 6.

The event is free, but reservations are required. Reserve seats for “Sherlock Preview Event” at WKAR.org.
