A slice of the season

Get pie-eyed at Capital Area Interfaith Respite’s Annual Autumn Pie Fest Saturday

by Cristina Toscano

Wednesday, Oct. 5 — Enjoy some of
the Lansing area’s most mouthwatering pies and get your fill of fall activities at the Capital
Area Interfaith Respite’s Annual Autumn Pie Fest on Saturday. CAIR is an
organization that gives caregivers a chance to take a break, free of charge, by
providing senior citizens with companionship.

The fundraiser promotes
CAIR’s mission of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” with activities such as homemade
pies, hayrides, music and a silent auction.

Admission for
adults is $10; children ages 12 and younger are free. The event is from 5 to 8
p.m. at 1873 North Every Road, also known as “The Barn,” in Mason. For more information, call Brenda at
(517) 887-6116, or e-mail scp@rsvp-lansing.com.
