Capital City Film Festival seeks submissions

by James Sanford
Looking for a place to screen your latest film? Dominic Cochran can help you out.
Cochran, a partner of Lansing's Ahptic Film & Digital, has just announced the first Capital City Film Festival, to be held April 14-17 in downtown Lansing. It's open to everyone and submissions are now being accepted.
“Legislative leadership in Lansing brought us best-in-the-nation film-tax credits, which are turning the state’s economy around,” said Cochran in a press statement. “It only makes sense that we create a film festival here. Mid-Michigan has a wealth of talent both in front of and behind the camera.”
Submission genres include Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Non-student Short and Student categories. A grand prize of $3,000 will be awarded to a student filmmaker, as well as other prizes and scholarships totaling over $7,000. Festival entries will also receive statewide exposure through a festival partnership with Digital 10 Network.
Details on entering, as well as sponsorship opportunities and information for prospective volunteers, are available at www.capitalcityfilmfest.com.'
