Giraud hits the Ground

Piano-playing singer performs July 17

by City Pulse

Adam Lambert won’t be the only “American Idol” alum at Common Ground Music Festival this year: Piano-playing pop singer Matt Giraud will be taking the stage July 17.

Other newly added names to the festival line-up include pop-jazz saxophonist Mindi Abair and guitarist Peter White (also dated for July 17) and reggaerock performer Trevor Hall (July 14). Hardrockers Cavo will replace the previously announced Paper Tongues on July 15.

Single-day tickets to the festival are $26 per day in advance, increasing to $32 beginning July 1. A seven-day pass is $93, and a seven-day UnCommon Club VIP pass is $350.

Tickets are on sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at the Common Ground office, 901 N. Washington Ave. in Lansing, or by visiting www.commongroundfest. com. Call (800) 585-3737 for more information.
