A touch of Poison at Common Ground

by City Pulse
Talk about a rock 'n roll survivor: So far this year, Bret Michaels has suffered an appendicitis attack, heart problems and a massive brain hemmorhage.

Then he turned around and won "Celebrity Apprentice" last Sunday.

The former lead singer of Poison ("Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Nothing But a Good Time") will now take the stage at Common Ground Music Festival on July 15.

Also added to the lineup for July 12: concerts by alternative-rock bands Drowning Pool and Buckcherry. Tickets for their shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 28.

Single-day tickets to the festival are $26 per day in advance, increasing to $32 beginning July 1. A seven-day pass is $93, and a seven-day UnCommon Club VIP pass is $350.

Tickets are on sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at the Common Ground office, 901 N. Washington Ave. in Lansing, or by visiting www.commongroundfest. com. Call (800) 585-3737 for more information.
