Twilight: ’New Museum’

It’s the moment Twilighters have been waiting for all year. No, not the trailer for “New Moon.” We’re talking about the Friends of Kresge Art Museum’s 10th annual Twilight in the Garden fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 20.

The event includes appetizers, drinks and a silent auction for local art and items from local businesses, followed by a seated dinner, live music and a live auction. The event is from 4:30 – 8 p.m. in the atrium of the Henry Center, overlooking Forest Akers golf course. Tickets are $100 and RSVPs are required. Invites can be requested at (517) 353-9834. Proceeds will go toward the new Broad Art Museum building, scheduled to break ground in March 2010. Last year’s event raised $950,000.
