This building has come a long way to become this week’s eyesore. First it was a Little Caesar’s pizza joint, then G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Times) hair creations, and now it’s abandoned.

The days of former glory for this building are long gone. The paint is peeling everywhere, and most of the wood has either broken or fallen to the ground. A rusty metal skeleton of an awning hangs over the front windows and several empty lamps jut from the fa'ade.

On a recent day, squirrels were dancing in the parking lot among debris, which included a green plastic ruler. One of the front windows is cracked all the way through and is smeared with brown and white streaks. Even the for sale sign is rusted and filthy.

The sad thing is that, despite the exterior, the inside of the building is immaculate. It’s completely gutted, but in great condition. There’s even a majestic painting of an American flag in the clouds on one wall. “We definitely want some type of business there,” says Bill Tappin of the Speedwagon Partideli across the street. “There’s really nothing in this area. It would be nice to see something that works. It would be nice for the community.”
