Something' Kinda Wonderful

Lansing MC 3rdDeggree is widely hailed as the finest lyricist in the Capitol City. He has a reputation for witty rhymes that leave adversaries in flames and crowds in awe. His debut release, “Book of Rhymes, Chapter 1,” was released on local label 8th Wonder Entertainment last year. The release turned heads and got many curious about what could come of the fledgling label he so emphatically represents.

8th Wonder Entertainment will at last introduce the rest of its lineup to the world with “Sumthin’ Kinda Wonderful” June 26. The event will see performances from the 3rdDeggree, as well as Clockwise of Figures of Speech. Joining the 8th Wonder lineup will be R&B artist Christian, who is currently enjoying airplay of his song, “I Love My Boo.” Fellow label mate J Holla will add some flavor as he prepares for the June 22 release of his debut EP “J Holla Thoughts.”

Also performing will be the underground hip-hop stars of Athletic Mic League. AML has gained quite a reputation for their live shows. They flex lyrical mastery each time they bless the stage and have never disappointed heads in the Lansing area.

The night will also feature Benny Ben, Big Perm, DJ Donnie D and Drew. Doors open at 9 p.m. The Temple Club, 500 E. Grand River Ave., Old Town Lansing. 316-0400.
