Work that never ends
By ELAINE YAW
Eric Stinson is a busy man. As head gardener at Cooley Gardens, he gardens
(which means he tears out old plants, plants new pants, waters, mows,
maintains, all while inspiring his interns and volunteers) all day and
then goes to his Okemos home where he gardens more and spends time with
his wife, Lynette Biery, and daughter, Emma.

Afternoons
at Cooley Gardens
As I walked
up the sidewalk to the east entrance of Cooley Gardens, lots of things
in bloom popped in front of me. I knew not what one plant was. But it
was beautiful. Vibrant pinks. Soft pinks. Huge white blooms. Lots and
lots of green and purple. Bumble bees. Trees and grass. And that was
before the gate.
Large
office building proposed for Renaissance Zone
If you are concerned about the glut of vacant office space in downtown
Lansing, get a load of this:
Developer Sam Eyde is asking the city to let him build a three-story,
150,000-square-foot office building in the Seven Block Renaissance Zone
southwest of the Capitol. It is a half-mile from where construction
has just begun on the 110,000-square-foot Boji office building.
