GO LOCAL:
A coalition of small businesses and organizations is born
By
DANIEL STURM
Seeds for a new garden may well have been planted last week at City
Pulses first "Going Local" luncheon. Held at Trippers
restaurant in Frandor on Jan. 23, the luncheon attracted a diverse mix
of 50 participants--ranging in background from local retailers and restaurant

Letter from Dimondale:
Can the movie version be far behind?
I moved to Dimondale at the end of August.
Whenever I share this detail with longtime Lansing-area residents, I
receive the same response: Have you been to Mikes? Great

is also the villages largest employer and backbone of the local
economy. Having lived here for five months, I know that Mikes
isnt the only restaurant in town, nor does its revenue keep the
village afloat.

Of corn husks, bear fear and a vagina-numbing ride
City Pulse sponsored a contest for Lansing-area residents
to write their own vagina monologue. Four women sent entries. One man
sent an entry called The Pecker Diatribes.
This is the winning entry.
