Bending gender lines: Drag kings rule on the issue

The crowd of at least 400 dykes, drag kings and other spectators at Millennium in Columbus, Ohio, wasn’t losing steam. Here we were nearing the end of a 30-act drag king lineup and everyone around us still cheered just as loudly as everyone had from the beginning. Pat Riarch, the king my girlfriend and I had come all this way to see, was about to come onstage to the chants of “awwwwww suki suki” for the last king.
