Impression 5 Science Center. “Is Your Mama a Llama?” Rhyming puppet show geared toward toddlers and preschoolers, teaching identification skills. 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24. Kresge Art Museum. “Wrapped Words: Handmade Books from Cuba’s Ediciones Vigía.” The Cuban artists’ cooperative recycles materials — including twine, corrugated board and twigs — to create raw, expressive books, and has produced limited editions since 1985. Runs through March 17. In conjunction with this exhibit, “Open Books” features 19th century prints by George Cruikchank, Honore Daumier and Winslow Homer, and contemporary book arts by Enrique Chagoya, Louise McCagg and Art Spiegelman. Michigan Library and Historical Center. Michigan Women’s Historical Center and Hall of Fame. “From Suffrage Through Today,” featured in the Middle Gallery, showcases women’s contributions and achievements throughout the 20th century.  “The Century of Women” presents milestones for women in every decade, and covers the first feminists, the achievement of the right to vote and violence against women issues. The Hall of Fame Gallery features permanent exhibits chronicling the lives of prominent Michigan women. 213 W. “Standing Before Us: a Traveling Exhibition of the Lives and Work of Unitarian Universalist Women,” exhibition of 73 panels of famous historic women displayed along a timeline of significant events in world history. The exhibit ends Jan. 27 with services from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. centering on the exhibit, including outstanding local women with a reception following.
