Mary O'Connor

Mary O'Connor was born in Lansing and has maintained an on again, off again relationship with this city through most of her life. She left and has come back several times; the most recent brought her back five years ago after a 10-year stint away. Her time away was focused on traveling and going to school. During those years she spent much of her time engaged in the underbelly of the restaurant industry honing her appreciation for things that are yummy. As she has grown older, tired and jaded, her habits and tastes have changed and she has focused on the art of home cooking. Today she enjoys the luxury of pulling together an intimate dinner party. It is not just the cooking but the planning, shopping, preparing, tweaking, defining and executing of the event that excites her. She looks forward to sharing her culinary adventures with the readers of City Pulse.
