Tom Helma

Tom Helma was born in Hackensack, N.J., where at the age of 12 he played the part of Tiny Tim in Dickens' A Christmas Carol at State Street Junior High School. (Some would say that he has been acting out ever since.) Locally, he has appeared with six theater groups in about a dozen shows and worked behind the scenes as well. He is the father of two local actresses, Faith and Sarah Grace. His soulmate Kathy and his son Gabriel are the true artists in the family. Tom's daylight hours are spent counseling people with personal difficulties. He is a licensed professional counselor and a certified social worker with a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling. Tom has 30 years' experience counseling adults, couples, adolescents and families.
